About Us
“Before the print, before the laser, before the art — there is the blank. We craft the foundation, so you can craft the vision.”
Blankifycraft was born from a simple, unyielding truth known to every maker: a masterpiece is only as good as the canvas it begins upon. The suffix “-ify” represents the raw act of transformation. To us, a blank is not a generic commodity; it is a promise of what it will become. We pour our craft into engineering the perfect surface, ensuring that the skill and care you pour into your final product is never wasted. One word, no fluff.
How We Started
In 2019, Alexa Wei was helping a few craft friends source sublimation supplies from China — heat tape, transfer paper, the usual. The conversations always circled back to the same bottleneck: finding a decent blank.
It wasn’t the printer. It wasn’t the press. It was the mug with the uneven coating. The aluminum panel that would ghost on one corner every single time. A failed blank meant a wasted transfer sheet, wasted ink, and thirty minutes of press time gone. Multiplied by a few orders a week, that added up fast.
The crafters she worked with weren’t beginners. They knew their machines inside out. But they were burning through inventory chasing a substrate that would actually perform.
Why Only Blanks
Alexa made a deliberate call: no consumables, no equipment, no “one-stop shop” pitch. Just blanks.
The reasoning was simple. If the foundation is wrong, nothing you put on top of it matters. A sublimation print is only as good as the surface it lands on. So we put everything into getting the surface right — and nothing else.
That focus hasn’t changed. We still don’t sell printers, inks, or heat presses. We don’t plan to. Other people do those things well. We do blanks.
Where We Are Now
Sixteen categories now — aluminum panels, ceramic mugs, acrylic blanks, wooden substrates, leather patches, stainless steel tags, and more. We ship direct from China to the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and beyond. No middlemen. No distributor markup. You pay for the product and the freight, not someone’s warehouse lease.
Still a small team. Still testing every batch ourselves before it gets listed. Alexa unboxes samples in her own workspace, runs transfers on them, and checks for coating consistency, edge finish, and color fidelity. A batch that doesn’t pass doesn’t ship.
How We Work
- We know where things come from: Every product traces back to a specific workshop, a specific production line, a specific person. Not “a factory somewhere in Guangdong.” A named facility we’ve visited, with a track record we’ve verified.
- We reject more than we keep: About one in five batches we sample doesn’t make the cut. Coating thickness slightly off. Surface finish not consistent across the batch. We’d rather be out of stock for a week than ship something that wastes your time.
- No minimum order for retail: You don’t need to buy a pallet to get a fair price. If you’re pressing your first dozen mugs, we’ll sell you a dozen mugs. If you’re scaling to wholesale volumes, our pricing scales with you.
- We’ll tell you when a product isn’t right: Straight answer, no upsell. If our wood blank doesn’t take sublimation the way you need it to, we’ll say so.
